If you notice the numbering on the slide is a slightly different font from the rest of the gun. In addition, you can see that the serial numbers are all matching on the barrel, slide, frame and the end-piece. This one has the earlier variation Bakelite (black) grip panels - most with the 140 proof will have the wood panel. In 1942, they transitioned to the more common wood grip panels.
